A lot of a lot of DeLoreans

And supposedly the new DeLorean

  1. Amazing they are still going. The first was ahead of the curve. Wonder how the new one measures up.

  3. I saw an original DeLorean with a 2.0L 330 hp VW turbo engine at a car show a few weeks back. The owner was very happy with the VW upgrade.

I am not sure about the electric version.

  4. That's pretty much all of them.

    CA Driver's Test, circa 1982:

    The dashed white line means:

    A) No turning
    B) Okay to pass or change lanes
    C) John DeLorean has a leak in his trunk

  5. I had an original that had many upgrades since the tech back then was marginal. The fascia plastic for the nose warped in the sun so I had one machined out of aluminum. Engine swaped from the granny Volvo to a GM Grand National with 500 hp. Great car until it was hit and destroyed while parked.

  6. Problem with DeLoreans is that they kept hugging the white line

  7. I saw that parking lot in 1980, in New Jersey, I believe.
