And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
If you have not tried Span in a while I'd say give it another chance. They have improved the product. It seems to have a lot less gelatin. Also, I watched a documentary somewhere that showed the spam making process and I did not see anything I wouldn't eat. I keep a supply on hand all the time.
I have a can of regular spam in the cupboard, I saw (& copied) an old advertisement-recipe (from here??) about baked Spam & canned peaches I'm going to try.
I keep some in the pantry because it's an excellent way to store fat and protein, It'll keep nearly forever, and I'll never be tempted to raid it except in dire circumstances.
Got cans of it on the shelf. It's pretty decent. SPAM isn't on my top 10 list, but it's food, good protein, and it'll keep you going.

ReplyDeleteIt's not bad fried, but I don't go out of my way for it.
