Lamborghini sold tractors before selling sports cars. Ferruccio Lamborghini complained about his Ferrari to founder Enzo Ferrari. Enzo said “you may be able to drive a tractor, but you will never be able to handle a Ferrari properly.” So he started making his own cars.

    Lamborghini still makes tractors. Jeremy Clarkson bought one!

      Great show. And he showed a lot of class and humility by the end of the season by recognizing how hard farming is and how much we owe to farmers.

    Ferrari made his own competition through his (deservingly or not) arrogance. Ford vs Ferrari is a good story too.

    My grandfather had a Lamborghini tractor in the 50's, 60's, and early 70's. It was a dedicated 4 row sprayer. It was a 25 to 30 HP diesel that had a PTO that ran with the drive gear. When Grandpop bought the tractor it was a cheep Italian alternative to a Ford 8N tractor. It died in the late 70's due to the lack of maintenance parts.
