  4. Amazing, I lived a mile North of Half Moon bay in El Grenada for a while back in the early 80's and I don't remember hearing a word about any drag strip.
    Then again, There isn't a whole lot I remember about that whole decade anymore so I shouldn't be so surprised.
    Apparently while I was so busy killing brain cells for entertainment purposes back then I knocked out some of the important ones...

    1. Possibly when he hit the throttle the engine cause the frame to torque over? Otherwise maybe just the perspective of the picture. I drove a front engined dragster though with a much much lower powered engine than that and it was the most fun to drive of the three that I had. The other two were rear engine and with rack and pinion steering rather than the funny car type steering the front engine dragster had. The first rule of driving a front engined dragster was to point it straight down the track since there wasn't enough weight on the front end to steer for the first couple of hundred feet.
