  1. I was in the parking lot at a grocery store in Healdsburg yesterday evening hanging out with the grandkids as shopping was done inside the store. A number of different homeless looking people wandered thru the parking lot eyeing things.

Reminded me of that time in Las Vegas at a 7-11 half a block off the strip in the middle of the day watching a couple of guys casing customers and watching for cops

    1. These are usually found in 32 acp and have a double stack magazine...probably one of the first.

    2. .22LR or shorts? Either way, not much stopping power. You'd be better off pistol whipping an intruder with that thing.

    3. Bullshit.
Four 22's in the face will ruin anyone's day, BAD!
You should know better, unless you suffer from the little man complex.

    4. @ ghostsniper - If a crazed 250 lb addict is bull rushing me a .22 might slow him/her/it down, but no guarantee that it will stop them. Yeah, they might die later. If you gut shoot them they can enjoy a nice case of peritonitis before they expire.

  5. The .22 caliber is referring to the rifle.
The pistol looks like a Model 1907, which had a double-stack magazine holding 10 rounds of .380.

    1. Oops.
They were chambered in both .32 and .380.

Hmm. I wonder if Patty read Daddy. She could shoot, apparently.

  8. I was watching "Cops" the other day and they were serving a warrant on felon who had skipped parole and they confiscated one of those from him. It looked really old and I didn't recognize it at the time but it was loaded with a round in the chamber. I guess there are still a few around.
