And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

What a unexpected gem of story telling! Was expecting him to leap out of the video screen into my living room the way he kept my interest about stuff from 4,000 years ago.
If I'm casting a movie with a eccentric professor that needs to be able to explain the curse (there's always a curse) to the handsome, muscular but dumb hero; I want him.

ReplyDeleteDr. Finkel is an amazing storyteller. I've watched dozens of his lectures online and am always impressed. I also learn a lot by doing so.
