    1. Because you really want the skin on your hands to come off when you holster your piece.

      Winchester did that with a '73 model a coupla decades back.
      You could hear the thud of that marketing flop all the way from the Pacific Ocean to HQ in CT.

  2. Looks exactly like my Beretta Stampede Marshall .45 Colt but without the studs on the grips. Not sure about the position of the hammer in the photo. Mine has a transfer bar like a Ruger so the hammer stays all the way down without riding on the round in that chamber. I will say that with anything above cowboy action loads it's a handful. I had to have that gun when I saw it for reasons that now escape me. But I got it! That's the main thing.
