And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was at the Federal Reserve bank tour in Kansas City (I'd been to see the WW1 museum & the bank was across the way, the WW1 museum is worth the trip). At the bank tour behind the glass walls there was a cart with a block of 3 million used dollars on it. There was a guy there in the tourist part looking through the glass with the same look in his eyes as that cat has.
There's a painting at the Nelson in Kansas City called "Still life with cat and fish" by Jean Chardin. For some as yet inexplicable reason it is my favorite painting, ever. I can stare at it for hours and keep finding new things.
kat looks demonically maniacal
