And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Who knew what was coming shortly in the form of telephones
Portland, Oregon. I remember this a kid, I tried to get my mother to use it but she didn't ant to spend the dime. The arch is long gone as is all the old buildings, but was totally rebuilt.

Ah! The old 3-slot, rotary dial coin box. I repaired many of them 60 years ago for Ma Bell.
