The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I wonder if this isn't the end result of generations trying to "one-up" the previous generations? You can see that in the prom season in high school here in Texas . They, the females would have a corsage to brighten up their outfits. Now, the damn things have gotten to be gi-normous and so large that some of the girls don't even wear them. They actually display them at the event.
