And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Rafting tours on a river in the Wakayama Prefecture village of Kitayama, Japan. Seems safe enough.
I lived in Japan for a year. Their word for foreigner is the cultural equivalent of n****r. They only get butthurt about problems because it costs money. One less gaijin troubles them not a whit, since...ever. But, they'll act all polite about it.
Never participate in "adventures" in countries where the cultural view of the value of life is "entirely disposable".
