And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

I've had one for seven plus years, and I use it hard. Still working, and I'll be using it later today on field grass and weeds.
That 13" swathe must be frustrating. Minus the core diameter (3") you're left with 5" of cutting path.
I have the Ryobi version and use it very little. If I got trimmin to do I break out the old Ryobi gas version (20+ years old) with it's 17" swathe and make short work of it. A shot of ether in it's snoot and it starts 1st pull every time.
I have two different brands of battery-powered trimmers. To be honest, I forgot the names but one is a single wire trimmer and it works well. The other is a heavy-duty twin wire trimmer that is heavy to handle and breaks the heavy-duty wire almost every time that I use it. I gave up on gas-powered yard equipment a long time ago.
Black and Decker used to make really good tools. Back when battery drills first came out, putting screws in wet decking boards. 9.6 volts Black and Decker (small motor case) Mikita blue case Milwaukee (my drill) The little Black and Decker was still pushing screws while the two big boys were charging.

No, that is a new version. Mine is OLD! However, the one in your link has an 18" cutting path and that looks good.
DeleteFor laughs, read the one review. That guy is the type that will be trouble no matter what he does. lol
I have its little brother, the 20V one which is adequate for my trimming here. Mostly around the mailbox.

ReplyDeleteI wish the po-po would use them on eco-protesters.
ReplyDeleteJust saying.
