And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Is that Spock and Kirk? Did they just violate the prime directive?
Dang it, the anonymous at 1:30 pm beat me to it! I was going to say the two men (Kirk and Spock?) had to deal with that robot because Magnus was unavailable (Magnus was no doubt off fighting some other misbehaving robots).
And I still also remember Mad Magazine's great parody, "Magnus, Robot Biter"!
To be fair the Robot was carrying a Mars Winchester assault weapon.
