And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Dad flew one in flight training, eventually moving up to the P-47. It's amazing what we did during the war, building thousands of planes, training thousands of pilots, and building miles of runways all across the world.
That same municipal airport where the Stearman is hangared is next to the local military academy that back in the day (WWII) housed trainee pilots. Cool, huh? - WDS
