  1. Nice approach. Having the IO-550 engine makes it possible though. Lots of power for the approach and takeoff....
    Twisted approach, but all downhill so that wouldn't be that bad. Thee landing looks rough and short, and once you've committed to it there's no going back.

    1. no the C-175 was the geared prop plane
      this one has a 550 engine which is bigger than the standard C-185 engine

  4. I've made thousands of successful short field landings, but that one deserves respect. Having modern nav is one thing, but I wonder how many guys could even find that strip without it, no doubt my dumb ass would have a hard time. In reality there's probably some Alaskan pilot that could do it at night if there were a glow stick at the touchdown end.
