And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
A&W is no longer made fresh at the restaurant anymore. They also can't use the Sassafras extract they used to use either. A&W is decent, but that's the best that can be said for them. There is still one in Sevierville, TN.
For what it's worth, my grandson turned me on to "Mexican Cokes" made in Mexico with cane sugar by Coca Cola and sold in 4-paks in old style glass bottles. Available in our local grocery stores here in central Pa. Damn close to what I remember as the "old school taste" of Coca Cola.
Aw, yes. "That frosty mug taste."
ReplyDeleteCorn dogs, baby!
ReplyDeleteLet's go pick up a Teen Burger, too.
ReplyDeleteThis A&W drive-in has been open at least since my Dad took my Mom there on their first date in the early ‘60s.

None left around here. Loved A&W.
ReplyDeleteTwo just 100 minutes away. Not worth it. Even the Stewarts near here closed years ago

ReplyDeleteNot the same as the old days, just like the old Cokes. I no longer waste $$ unless I feel like adding a bit of Rum.
