  3. The LSTs in the background are what caught my eye. Served about the USS Park County LST 1077 in VN in 68-69. Just got an email yesterday that our CO passed away this week. He was born and raised in Lorain Ohio. The Park County was ultimately transferred to the Mexican Navy and later was intentionally sunk during a missile training exercise.

  4. The magic elves tell me that ship from the 307th was downed by enemy fire in Sept '43 near Salerno Italy. Pilot uninjured.
