And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I would too, but I think it needs a chrome-plated narwhal horn, right above and between the O and R, pointed straight forward. And a big heavy 3" pipe front bumper. And a train horn.
Ex-USAF or Forest Service? I recall seeing a couple like it in USAF dark blue around a Midwest airbase in the early '60's. Yeah, I still miss my old 1966 Ford F-250 4x4.
That green is similar to Forest Service colors but I picture this rig to be more of a repainted Weyerhaeuser crummy than an ex-gov't rig.
BTW, I miss your old 1966 Ford F-250 4x4 too. That would be a great pickup to cruise around in today. I'm guessing a 292 c.i. V-8 with a four speed? Sweet.
I remember as a kid on a SAC base they had 4 door pickups that would come around and pick up flight crew but I remember them being Dodges. To be fair it's been a minute since my Dad was a B-47 Radar/Nav/Bombardier.
Wow, that's cool. Even the back doors have wind wings.
ReplyDeleteHandy for flicking your cigarette ashes.

For...cows. Yeah, that's it. For cows.
It probably has one of the early oil bath carbs on a FE engine.
ReplyDeleteCoyote swap. That would take a few hundred pounds off the front end.
Delete'58 I think?
ReplyDeleteWas that a factory setup, or a special body like fire engines and rescue equipment? Never seen one in person; very cool machine.
