And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
First car I had with seat belts was a '58 Austin Healy 100-6. Seatbelts are for keeping you from being tossed around when you're in the twisties, and a good idea, too.
It has brakes. Looking at the photos here https://silodrome.com/miller-91-race-car/ it has the throttle pedal in the middle and the brake on the right and the brakes are cable activated. The front brakes are mounted inboard and the gearshift is outside of the cockpit. Cool piece of engineering. Al_in_Ottawa

ReplyDeleteNo need for airbags when the gas tank is right behind you, with the filler neck at head level.
ReplyDeleteA relic of a time when fun didn't consider safe or healthy. A place many would like to see again.
