And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
4 lb. 400 cu INCHES. 1/4 of a cubic foot. 12 bucks. Damn. Y'know, the local gas'n'go sells about 20 lb for 7 bucks or so, and THAT's outrageous! A cord of white oak, about 128 cu ft, weighs around 2 tons depending on how dry it is and costs around $300. At these prices, you can buy a cord for only $6000. Call me, I've got a branch I'll sell for only $100. No low ballers, I know what I got.
$12.64 per (1/4 square foot) bag of 100% natural oak chunks = $6,471.68 for a cord of 100% oak firewood, albeit in smaller bites.
ReplyDeleteMight be cheaper to head out to the old woodpile with yer axe and get to work.
Anons right. I meant to say cubic foot, not square foot.
DeleteOld age creeping. And it's about time for my old man nap, to boot.
