And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Exceptional collection! Had to smile at the bus in Needle's Eye in Custer State Park - the tour companies STILL enjoy pulling that crap (along with 'OHNO WE'RE STUCK') and blocking the Needles Highway for an insufferably long time...
I can imagine several of these as 2000 piece jigsaw puzzles - especially #2 canoe; #4 trail; maybe #8 bike repair; #16 trail; #20 ranch gate; #26 float plane
These pictorial essays are predictably unpredictable. Always has my focus. The boot leaning into asphalt and the bus that has 2" clearance in a stone tunnel.
That purple dress!
ReplyDeleteI'd give her a ride.
DeleteI had the same reaction!
DeleteThis is SUCH a good series; always interesting.
ReplyDeleteExceptional collection today CW, thank you.

ReplyDeleteLots of neat pictures, if saw #25 would at least offer a ride to her destination
ReplyDeleteI sense angry woman. Her feet are still clean, so this is the first step of a long journey (maybe).
DeleteMaybe catch up with her a few miles down the road?

ReplyDeleteThanks CW! I feel anonymously famous. 😁
ReplyDeleteFirst picture, right on top!
ReplyDeleteThat's one helluva scenic overlook with the beetle and two station wagons.
ReplyDeleteOutstanding series of pictures. Enjoyed every one.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite is the one with the dog.
ReplyDeleteI don't know; there's something about #34 that makes me think it was Photoshopped. Anyone else get that sense?
