Keep one in the truck

  1. I see .35K lbs...as in POINT35Klbs! ...more deceptive chinashite product labeling?...asking for a friend!

  2. A kinetec rope can do a static pull. A strap can't play Yankem rope. A strap is better than nothing, but I'd rather have a kinetic in the truck. Coupla soft shackles,
Watching YouTube off-road recovery videos is a hoot.

  3. Buy 100 ft of good nylon twist rope, cut into 3x sections, braid with loops on either end. I got about 30 years out of my first one. Kinetic ropes are like big rubber bands and will snatch a much bigger vehicle out on the first try.

  4. Isn't a kinetic extraction how that guy got killed last year or so? (Yes, I know. Vague, but I don't have the exact reference at my fingertips) The towing driver took a run at it, using his drop hitch as the attachment point (first mistake). It snapped and the stretchy tow strap flung the broken receiver thru the windshield of the stuck vehicle.

    End of story.

A little knowledge is dangerous thing....
