And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

Someone asked for a simpler, less technical grill, so here it is. I BBQ'ed successfully on one for over a decade, so I know they work.
I could probably use that pellet pooper today cause I sure can't use my Weber in the 25mph wind that's going on now. Guess I'll have to pan fry burgers tonight. Just kidding, looks like spaghetti tonight.
I've heard that only the largest model is built to the quality point that they all used to be made to. The little ones are not as sturdy or as long lasting anymore.
Again, get the 22" with the ash catcher, that little tin plate on that one isn't worth a fart in a full gale. And speaking of wind, the first decent breeze to come by after you're done cooking will just pick up any accumulated ash and send it flying.
Rusted out the first 22" but took awhile and never considered anything for a replacement. Also have a 14" Smoky Joe that has been carried on camping trips for 10+ (?) years and rode hard/ put up wet. Wouldn't take for that one either.
And mine is still workin just fine.

ReplyDeleteTheir gas grills are all made in China now. Had my girlfriend buy one, the ignition rusted out in one season. Everything else soon after.
DeleteBut this one is still USA made.

ReplyDeleteThat's the one!
ReplyDeleteThese things are ubiquitous, I live in an apartment complex and EVERYBODY has a Weber grill.
ReplyDeleteThose inserts that hold the charcoal to one side makes these into a great smoker or slow cooking grill They even have a space to fill with water.
