And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
One of my past careers was an independent sales representative for many different housewares manufacturers. One of them was Kershaw Cutlery. They make a Japanese line of kitchen cutlery called "Shun." It is similar to this line in the photo. The angle of the blade edge is different than most European or American cutlery. It is not a major problem sharpening them but it takes knowlege and practice.
WhyTF is "Natural Acacia Wood", which is the compostion of the storage block, the major selling point??? The handles sure as hell aren't "natural acacia wood", though they're very pretty. And call me crazy, but when I'm buying a knife set, the type of steel and how they cut (and last at it) is a wee bit more important than what the lump of wood they're stored in is made from.
One doesn't buy a Ferrari based on "stick-built pine garage", does one?
Just saying.
When the magician is waving one hand, watch the other one: you're being bamboozled.
I'd be scared to sharpen those!
