BMW Iseta. I think the surfboard only crowds the driver a little. Getting out the door on the front of the car may be a little tight due to the steering wheel and surfboard...
My dad bought one when I was a kid, about 1964. It had a 1 cylinder engine mounted on the right rear side. Open the front door and the steering wheel and dashboard swung out with it. The shifter was mounted on the left wall.
He's not letting the size of his car dictate whether he gets down to the beach to enjoy the surf though.
