Water would be a problem, but otherwise....

  1. Rain water collected from roof and stored in underground cistern. Used for hundreds of years.

    2. Right. Because in thousands of years of people doing exactly what was suggested, no one ever noticed the birdpoop, and never thought about filtering the roof runoff water before storing it in the cistern.

    1. Lugging firewood to it would be quite the chore as well. No out of shape people are going to disturb you, so there's that.

  6. Looks like lookout in Sawtooth Range...and Rainier right in front. Spent with boyfriend time for several days, Aug.1970...Sunday paper and mail delivery was by Cessna, sometimes a hike to find...
