The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I think you're right, Aggie, I wasn't paying attention to the saddle. And though she may be riding side saddle, I bet she can ride no matter what saddle she's using.
I'm always amazed when you see a woman going really fast while riding side saddle in the old Westerns. It seems to me that it would be a real article of faith to do that.
A woman who passed away recently near me was a stunt woman back in the '50s and '60s. Her specialty was being a stunt double rider for a lot of the women stars back then. I never really thought about it before I read her story, but she was quite a gal. Talented and fearless, with a free spirit.
