And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I was interviewing a lady once and she noticed my ashtray. Asked if she could smoke during the interview. Told her that'd be fine... She lit up and promptly also set her hair on fire too. Calmly patted it out and continued on with the interview as if nothing had happened. Told her that she was hired. Anyone that could set themselves on fire and deal with it without getting flustered about it . Told me much about her ability to cope with difficult situations.
