  3. That L in front makes it "amphibious" by inclusion with LPD and other classes of amphibious ships.

  5. Shooting at the Norks in the 1950s was hardly sporting, but probably great fun.

    The whole point of clandestine landings is for nobody to even known you were ever there.
    We've gotten a lot better at that over time.
