The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Tells you the correct angle for what, 3 inches? Even engineered lumber can have bumps and dips. These kinds of tools are gimmicks with no actual real world value. (Disclaimer: I've been in the building business for 35 years).
This is great for astronomy when you need to find something obscure. You can use this to help point your telescope in the right direction. Oh, and its great when placing steel conduit.
I have that very tool and its unbelievably handy - used it quite a bit on renovations and most recently a rear addition we added on. To account for dips and such - we used a 48 or 72" level where possible.
