And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
I went to a concert back in the day. The Doors. Alice Cooper. Chuck Berry. So many great musicians. But what do I remember most? John and Yoko. Why? Because she was in a big pillowcase on the floor and all she did was make gawd-awful screeches while John was performing. 47 years later I can still hear her resonating through the ages.
My wife dated a guy all through Highschool. We ran into him. Afterwards she asked if I noticed that he had developed a lisp ( that he had always had). I told her love is not just blind but it is deaf too. She couldn't believe she never noticed it before.
It certainly must have been in their case . . .
