And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

He found his moose, and he's bringing it back to papa
That is a moose. Elk do not have that hump or a rounded nose. Most likely a juvenile as the web between the horns is not as pronounced. Still it has a good whoa factor.
The only thing that makes me think it's not a moose (it is) is that it doesn't continue charging straight at the camera. Once they get mad, they're slow to cool off.
the moose of Montana when I was a younger idiot, were definitely not the stopping kind when they saw you; ask me how I know.... especially during the rut when they are mad crazy at everything, even trees. but, for the moment, the puppy is certainly outpacing the moose. It really looks like play.
Moose. Those antlers are too fat and the snout is way too big to be an elk. I’m surprised he turned too. Pooch is one lucky critter. They usually get stomped into oblivion.
E.k
ReplyDeleteElk.
DeleteMoose. Swamp donkey. Unless you're in Europe, where they insist on calling them elk.
DeleteI've never been elk hunting but it's interesting to me how fast that elk hits the brakes to get out of there as soon as he saw the human.
