And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Best movie ever made. The 300 pounds thrown into the firebox by her husband and she closes the firedoor behind it. A fictional character yes, but if you ever come across a woman like that character, that woman is a 'keeper'.
It was not about the money, it was whether or not her brother was an honorable man which led to one of the best fight scenes in movies. O'Hara, talk about natural beauty, she was stunning,
... and I bet most of ya don't know this - the feller playing the accordion in the pub and leading the signing in 'Wild Colonial Boy' (in a pretty good voice too) is no less than...... Festus, from Gunsmoke: Ken Curtis.
'Tis Herself!

A most sensuous actress. Perhaps the most ever... and all woman.
ReplyDeleteVery fine, but certainly not the only one on the list. Always been a huge Donna Reed fan. And check out Loretta Young. Audrey Hepburn. Lauren Bacall.

DeleteI love this movie. Of course, she's beautiful. But don't forget Mickaleen Flynn.
