Grenadier cap with bullet holes. The Battle of Friedland, 1807.

 


The Battle of Friedland (14 June 1807) was a major engagement of the Napoleonic Wars between the armies of the French Empire commanded by Napoleon I and the armies of the Russian Empire led by Count von Bennigsen.

  1. These were handed down Soldier to Soldier in the Pavlovsky Grenadier Regiment up to the Russian Revolution bullet holes and all. I am fairly sure this is one.
    I have a large Napoleonic era Russian army in 15-18mm miniatures
