  1. Back in 1990, I sent an order to Motorbooks, for a fifty dollar book on the history of the internal combustion powered fire truck, Fire Engines Since 1900. Apparently my penmanship can suffer at times, as they sent me Ford Trucks since 1900.
Back when that lovely truck was made, Ford did not make 4X4s, they would send the truck to Marmon Herrington, and they would convert it. This seemingly was the case until the 1961 or so models. I know this is a difference that makes no difference, but I found it interesting.

  3. My dad bought a 1959 Ford 4x4 new. It was a factory 4x4. So Marmon Herrington had to be earlier, say the late 50's. Nice truck though.
