And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Back in 1990, I sent an order to Motorbooks, for a fifty dollar book on the history of the internal combustion powered fire truck, Fire Engines Since 1900. Apparently my penmanship can suffer at times, as they sent me Ford Trucks since 1900. Back when that lovely truck was made, Ford did not make 4X4s, they would send the truck to Marmon Herrington, and they would convert it. This seemingly was the case until the 1961 or so models. I know this is a difference that makes no difference, but I found it interesting.
