And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
She nailed it. Let Africans sort it out for themselves. Expecting them to arrive at a Western civ solution isn't realistic. And stop with the aid, it's pointless
The one item that she glossed over was....the population is muslime. How in the world is that citizenry going to improve with a backward faith/government like that!!!
And you also have the graft and corruption. I did a satellite sub-station install in Kenya. I had to bribe the local "chief" to allow the truck drivers to deliver the equipment I was to install. Trash and crap everywhere.
When the job was through I had to fly through Addis Ababa Ethiopia to get a flight to Europe. When I was going through security I took my watch off and snapped it in the carabiner that was on my backpack. I go through the metal detector and the one-way gate waiting on my bag to make it through the x-ray machine. The guy running it backs my bag up, takes my watch, and sends the rest of it through. As soon as he hits the conveyor control he got up and quickly walked away. I am raising holy hell with the guards and finally one of them tells me if I say anything else they will arrest me. WTF?
