    1. By all means, let's control the prices charged by an industry (grocers) whose profit margins are 1.2% of their gross revenues. That ought to work.

What mathematically challenged idiots the Democrats are.

    1. No opinion here about that piece of equipment....just a general feeling that my shop radio needs upgrading. I'm tired of the 'tinny" sound that big box store radio puts out. I'm thinking of heading to a pawn shop for new equipment.
Any suggestions on what to look for?

  4. I still run Klipsch tower speakers that are 25 yrs old. Used to buy some really good stuff while in the military and stationed in Japan. Those days are long gone.

  5. Markup on new electronics is at least 50%, has been for decades. And stereo gear has always been the question "how much do you want to spend"

  6. Missing Warehouse Sound these days. Reasonably good selection at very good prices.

  9. who else remembers Tech HiFi? They had this gimmick where they handed the mark a clicker, that would switch between 2 different stereo systems. Push the button down with your thumb, you heard one system. Let the button up, you heard the other system (and guess what? This is the system the salesman wanted you to buy - because he made more commission on that one). I know this because a guy from my dorm freshman year flunked out, and then worked as a salesman for (wait for it) - yes, Tech HiFi.
