  1. I may be the only US military veteran who HATES Tabasco sauce. If they had packed it in our old C-Rations while serving in Vietnam, I would be one of the US Marines who threw it away.

  3. Someone in DC found out They might support veterans/ service-members... "NO Tabasco for you!" (I liked those little bottles... for trade sometimes.)
Good on the employee rep with the product hookup.
I always have a bottle or 6 (flavors) handy, don't always use it but it is there.

  4. Ya’ll need your head examined. Army 91-94, Tabasco was the only reason I could eat that food.

    1. Remember the old MREs didn't have the heater packs and they really needed strong flavoring to choke them down.

  5. In my opinion, and my opinion only, Tabasco is all burn, no flavor.
Crystal and Evangeline are my two favorite Louisiana hot sauces.

    1. You are 100% correct about Tabasco. Try some Cholula. Lots of flavor there. Doesn't have the burn.

  6. The only reason the bottles were removed form MRE's was that the Taliban were using them as primers for pressure plate IED's from all the bottles we threw away in the trash. They also would go thru our trash for all the big whey bottles we used for gains in lifting weights. We were ordered to cut them up before we can put them into the trash. This had a side effect in pissing off their women as they used them as storage containers as well. Batteries were not allowed into the trash but collected, as they contain enough of a charge for IED's.

  9. There is a story that WD-40 went from a little known product to wide distribution in the 60s by sending small, sample size(?) cans to VN for wide distribution to the troops.

Great for all sorts of stuff besides lube. Even makes a great first aid spray for minor cuts and scratches. Stops mosquito bites from itching and a million other uses in the boonies
