And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
The more complex, the more likely something will go wrong. I watched a vid a few minutes ago that said the average tire loses 2-2 1/2 lbs of rubber each landing. That can add thousands of pounds of rubber to a busy runway everyday that has to be removed or it gets too slick. I did not know that. What about an aircraft carrier? Are they scrubbed?
Be an interesting landing if one of the gears didn't swivel forward.
