And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.

If you get one, get a set so the fam can hang out together. Drinks not included.
15 years ago I built 2 "Norm Abrams" type out of cedar, brass screws, etc. and they were nice. But now they are too difficult to get in and out of. The chairs must have changed when I was busy getting old.
Most people over 60 couldn’t even get out of it once they sat down, add in a few cocktails and watch the fun begin.

ReplyDeleteWife can have anything she wants. The current exchange rate has turned to three to one. Every one new thing comes with throwing three out.

ReplyDeleteI read somewhere (maybe this website ?) that these chairs were originally designed to be used on a hillside, which made the seat relatively level.
