I wonder if that place is still there?

  1. The store is closed, based on a neighbor's recent trip there.

  4. Ernest Tubb. Country gentleman and genius. Today's poseurs could take a lesson.

    1. Today's poseurs? You referring to that Country & Western mega-star Taylor Swift by any chance?

    2. She may be a "mega star" to the young-uns but she is not one in my book.

  5. Taylor Swift is NOT country! She is pure pop music, without any heart or soul in her music. I don't care how many 'fans" she has, I wouldn't cross the street to hear her "perform." I agree with Hank Williams III (aka "Hank III"): Pop Country Really Sucks.

  6. It's done been saved! Right across the street from another classic, Robert's Western World. Come on in, shop some boots, get a hot dog and a couple PBR's after six o'clock, and settle in for an evening of BR-549 up on the little stage in the display window.

  7. My mother was working there when she met my father, in 1964. He was a 101st paratrooper at the time.
