And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Fender Jazz bass. I always wanted a pre-CBS version in this same configuration and color. Instead, I have a 1965 Precision bass. Originally it was Olympic white with a rosewood fretboard. I refinished it to a natural wood tone much like John Deacon’s.
Something ain't right about that Jazz Bass. All that I've seen had three control knobs, with a small one controlling the blend of the two pickups. Might be a Jazz body with a Precision Bass pickup & controls. Still V. Cool.
The 1961 and earlier J-Bass models had two “stacked” knobs to expand the capabilities that would later be combined into three in 1962 and later versions. The Fender Custom Shop in Corona made replicas as well. Famously Flea played an original 1961.
Had a natural wood finish 60's J bass I played in the 70s. Sold that and my Black Beauty LP to go to grad school. Decided I wanted to get another bass a few years ago and finally landed on a natural wood finish Dingwall Super J.
