Working men take a break. I'm guessing the two guys on the right are related.

  1. A Darius Kinsey photo. I have the book 'Kinsey, Photographer'. It's awesome. Over 200 photos just like this one.
"Bring me men to match my mountains" comes to mind.

    1. It's a beautiful photograph for the time period.

  2. Looks like a 12 foot 2 man crosscut saw. And it took real men.

  3. Two men? Are you assuming their gender?

  4. You'd better have a decent breakfast if you're gonna man that saw.

    1. I suspect a day's work manning an end of that saw would encourage a man to stay on his side of the bed at night.

    2. You should see the pictures of the cook houses in the old logging camps. If the food was half as delicious as the dining rooms were meticulous those men ate really well.

  5. Two of the men have more than a passing resemblence. If they are the product of two different Mom's, I would suspect 'the bull jumped the fence' at some point in time.

  8. Is that a bottle of beer between the crossed axe handles?

    1. It may be a beer bottle but in it is oil to lube the saw.
