And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
That is a big climb. Back when I was learning to fly a Cessna 172 the rule of thumb was 90 mph with a climb rate of 1000ft every 7 to 8 minutes but that was for fuel mileage. My flight instructor preached fuel mileage and had a windspeed/humidity co-efficient/temperature with trip distance equation to give the elevation and speed to minimize fuel consumption. He was also my uncle and gave me lessons for the price of fuel. The 172 would do just over 750 feet per minute at 90 mph but it would eat up a lot of fuel. It had wing tips so it had a slightly higher rate of climb but the tips slowed down the max cruise speed but increased lift. That plane would almost fly itself. I got my ticket and I kept it active by joining the CAP when I was in the Air Force but I had to let it go as it cost too much after I got out of the AF.
I'd say that that is about a 25 to 30 second exposure. Always the scariest part of the flight for me as a flame out on the climb and its going down like Kamala on a Mayor.
Looks like a Lightcycle trail out of Tron.

ReplyDeleteAs long as that's not the plane landing it's all good.
