And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Yeah but just think about how non-DIE the whole premise of that show was. Not one tranny or gay cowboy in the whole damn bunch. How could that show have been popular?
The overriding take-away to the show was the fact that all the drovers, top to bottom, were genuinely good guys and gentlemen who always did the right thing. They were excellent role models for the kids that watched the show during the early '50s and '60s.
