  1. Very much like the kind of girls I grew up with in ranch country. Beautiful, tough, and smart.

    1. Wife's co-worker who also farmed always named his.
He had a pair of steers - Ham and Cheese, the Burger brothers. The pig was named Sausage.

  5. Lots of those types here in the Lower Yakima Valley; a bit scruffy, dirty clothes made for the work, muck boots - not cowboy boots, and dirty fingernails. Not a tinch of phony or posed about them.

  6. Married one of those about 50 years ago. She took care of the small Angus herd while I went to the city to work. No nonsense gal who loved her man, her chickens and her Angus!

  8. She looks a LOT like the daughter on that homestead rescue show. If it's her, I had the misfortune of meeting the snotty bitch out one day toolin around the mountains in the T. Now Marty, her dad, was a cool guy. We spent an hour hangin at some overlook havin a beer n shootin the shit. She spent the time scowling at everything and everybody looking put upon.
