And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
Lots of those types here in the Lower Yakima Valley; a bit scruffy, dirty clothes made for the work, muck boots - not cowboy boots, and dirty fingernails. Not a tinch of phony or posed about them.
Married one of those about 50 years ago. She took care of the small Angus herd while I went to the city to work. No nonsense gal who loved her man, her chickens and her Angus!
She looks a LOT like the daughter on that homestead rescue show. If it's her, I had the misfortune of meeting the snotty bitch out one day toolin around the mountains in the T. Now Marty, her dad, was a cool guy. We spent an hour hangin at some overlook havin a beer n shootin the shit. She spent the time scowling at everything and everybody looking put upon.
Very much like the kind of girls I grew up with in ranch country. Beautiful, tough, and smart.
