  2. Thanks a lot CW, now I gotta plan a trip all the way to Connecticut just to get dinner at HooDoo Brown. Oh well, it should be worth it.

  3. Ridgefield CT?? And they call it Texas BBQ?

I guess that explains all the ketchup on the ribs.

  4. Sorry, but any BBQ I have had north of Virginia has ranked right up there with Sonny's BBQ out of Florida. Sort of like the "Texas BBQ" I had in Germany, It was almost there but not quite right.

  5. Best BBQ I ever had was Buck's Barn in Daytona Beach back in the 50's and early 60's....gone forever, and so is the taste, owing to my Grandfather taking the recipe to the grave with him....came in three choices, hot, hotter, and get the fuck outta here....always served on top of a couple of pieces of white bread....those with experience know why the bread was needed....

  6. My dear ol' dad would make his special sooper dooper top sekrit sauce in the kitchen after exiling everyone else. Then he'd get out 2 or 3 dozen ingredients, of which he used probably only 5 or 6, but we never found out just which 5 or 6. And he'd do a changeup occasionally for different flavors according to the kind of meat and other ineffable reasons known only to him. Sure do miss him, and his Q.
