  1. Ha...I made my own using an $80 set of 1000V insulated Klein's and a neutral/ground cut...that wasn't a neutral. Someone white'd when they should have black'd.
    Having multiple stripping sizes though....that would be handy.

  2. I know that 'real' electricians call them 'idiot sticks', but I never touch a wire until I use one to check to see if the line is actually hot - whatever the color. I've been surprised only once, and am glad it was a 'light & beep' instead of becoming a grounded conductor.

  3. I had a pair of damaged diagonal cutters that proved that just because the circuit breaker is off, that doesn't guarantee the power is actually off (happened back in 1974). The "idiot sticks" are definitely quite handy. I've kept one on hand for almost as long as they have existed.
