And what country can preserve its liberties if their rulers are not warned from time to time that their people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants.
So it was Ol' Remus at the now-gone "Woodpile Report" (anyone here remember him?) who taught me all I needed to know about cold brewing coffee. I followed his instructions exactly and today I still enjoy the best coffee that mortal men will know. I just finished my second cup this morning, and I always send up a silent thanks to Ol' Remus for turning me on to such ambrosia.
It is unfortunate he chose not to maintain an archive. His posts were always looked forward to, and being less frequent, there was always time to read, and sometimes re-read them fully, and perhaps explore a rabbit hole or 3.

Coffee cup looks familiar, we bought ours about 50 years ago. But I see these in old, old western movies. First saw these years ago during my truck driving days. Still best I have found!
